Default Stang Noobie/Longtime Fan...Help?

Hello Mustang Forums.

I am a long time Mustang fan, ever since I was a kid. I'm now 24 years old and have had a wide array of cars. I just recently got rid of my 2004 Audi S4 and I am going tomorrow to test drive (and probably end up buying) the new 2011 GT. I am completely in love with the car, basically everything about it. The performance for the value with this vehicle is unreal. Ford deserves a ton of credit for this, in my opinion. So I basically have a question or two before I do the test drive, I would appreciate any help.

1. If I'm not mistaken, the GT puts out 412hp with 390 lb/ft torque. My old S4 had about 340hp with 309 lb/ft torque. I know this may be a dumb question, but I'm not a nuts and bolts guy. Am I going to feel a significant difference in power in the GT? It's just I've never driven a car with this much power, and I'm wondering how easy it is to drive (I drive manuals only).

2. I've heard great things about the car, but I live in New Jersey and obviously get a good amount of snow and bad weather. With the right tires, how will she handle in the snow?

Any other things I might want to consider would be appreciated.

If I do end up buying the car (which I'm almost 99.9% sure I will), I look forward to chatting about Mustangs with you all.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

welcome

I suggest going and test driving one to see how you like the car and if there is a noticeable power difference feel. As far as driving in the snow, I'm sure it's like any other rear wheel drive car, you'll just have to take it easy.

Welcome bud!

Yes, you "should" feel a noticable difference in power. Far as winter, throw a set of snow tires on and don't drive like an idiot and you be all right.
