considering 2011 GT
Hi All: I test drove both the premium V6 and the premium V8 today. While the V6 was surprisingly competent, it didn't make me breathe hard like the GT! Gobs of power in a tight package. I did have an Oh $hit moment when I took a 90 degree left on a narrow country road. The speed limit was 15 mph and the salesman asked me to be "aggressive". I took the turn at 50 mph and lost the rear...just before sliding into the concrete barrier separating the road from a cornfield, I regained control and made it thru the turn. The salesman had been fiddling with the traction control switch and I can't say for sure that it was on. I realize my speed was excessive but the skid startled me. I have been driving Mercedes cars and SUVs that just stick to the road. Is the car going sideways "normal"?
I drove a Camaro V6 later in the day. While more refined in power delivery that the Mustang V6, I was troubled by the lack of peripheral visibility especially when changing lanes. Imposing car for sure and seemed very well planted during some speedy turns.
Anyway, just wanted to see if any of you experienced any drifting/skidding during high speed turns.
Thanks in advance!

Im a 2008 v6 owner and with the Trac Control off...well have you ever seen that Fast and Furious movie Tokyo Drift?
It's just like that, you take a 90 deg turn and power through it you will slide the back end out every time in a stock mustang of these years.
At least that is what I have experienced.
When I changed my wheels from 16's to 18's I noticed a little better stick and had to work a little harder to throw my tail around.
But for sure without the trac control on the back end is free to move all over the place.
I am still new to mechanics and it's science but sitting a stop sign and powering into a turn is a wheel spinning, fishtailing extravaganza and though it's probably not all that great on the car, it sure is a lot of fun to do!

Seriously though, I am very concerned that the car may not have the handling prowess to match its engine power. I would really appreciate some candid thoughts.
Thanks
