Welcome my apprentice! I see your conversion to the dark side is complete!
I know how you feel, growing up around GM all your life.
For me, Chevy pick-ups were the best trucks, bar none. Ford pick ups are good too, but not as good as Chevy in my mind.
When I bought a coupe, I chose Mustangs because of the DOHC and therefore TiVCT which is way more flexible than since fixed cam, which cannot be phases independently between intake and exhaust lobes. This flexibility in increasing and decreasing valve overlap variably is one reason why Ford does not have to use cylinder deactivation to increase fuel mileage.

Been a GM man all my life. Have had 9 Camaro's, Corvette's and Firbird's in the past 30 years. Decided to buy a Mustang this time around. Got an '05 GT Convertible thats Black/Black with Red leather. Very nice. Am impressed with the build quality. Already upgraded to the Shelby SVT 18" rims and Goodyear SuperCar tires. Ready to upgrade the exhaust to Magnaflow axle back system around Christmas. And much more to come!
