Newbie from the UK (image heavy!)
Hi guys. Been driving an American car on UK roads for nearly 5 years now and loving every second of it. American muscle cars just p!ss on Euroboxes in every way!
Anyway, I thought it about time to say hi over here and introduce me and my S197. It's the Torch Red '05 GT you see below. Over the years I've been slowly modding it and I don't see me stopping that any day soon!
Started off with a bog standard GT auto:
Chucked on some new springs, 20% uprated and 2.5' shorter, powder coated some 18"s and added the obligatory stripes:
Had a brief experiment with an 18" / 20" stagger. Not a great idea... A bit Dick Dastardly.
Played around making a new hood and canned that too...
Fancied a color change so gave her a Matt black wrap with gloss black stripes
Lurking in the paddock at an Owners Club meet at Mallory Park between sessions...
New front end. My mate Trevor does all the hard work:
Coming along alright! Plenty of work to do, but taking shape:
Bit of a treat for my fat ***. Some Cobra Misano Lux reclining sports seats.
Under the hood, I've not done much apart from fit an AirRaid CAI kit, and a strut brace. I've got FFRP axle backs and have just added full FFRP shocks. Nicely set up for twisty UK roads and tricky Euro tracks. Well thats me and my 'Stang. Hope to chat to you guys soon.
