Default Brought home a new GT this weekend... now what?

Hi guys,

I brought home a 2010 GT premium (Black on black 5-spd) that was still on the lot this weekend and got it for a steal! I'm 24 and this is my first new car and was so excited it was hard to sleep the first night!

Anyways, I wanted to hear from others what they have done to mod thier pony.

I want to upgrade mine to make it MORE FASTER!

I am on a tight budget, hence the new car, but am curious what are some great budget upgrade ideas?

Thanks!

CAI= cold air intake right? My baby has it stock... is there like a stage 2 or 3 that would be worth it? By worth it I mean I have low funds at this time

Exhaust.. Anything GREAT you would recommend to make the H-pipes even nicer?!

And a tune... can you explain deeper?

Again, Thanks.

Here's some good info on tuners:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/simple...ps-tuners.html

CAI (cold air intake) along with a good American Muscle tune and the 3.73 gears are the best mods I've done

As far as exhaust... EVERYONE has a different opinion, so I'd suggest checking youtube and finding a set-up you like. There's tons of different possibilities

CAI is stock, is there one you would advise upgrading to? I would guess that I should start elsewhere since I might benefit more bang for my bucks...

It came with the TracPack that has 3.75 gears already.

Thanks for the tips!!!

Something like this:

or this

Majority of the gain is in the tune, not the intake itself. Not sure if the Track Pack replaces the restrictive stock airbox or not (I think it does) but a tune is a great mod regardless. If you have an CAI that comes with the Track Pack, going aftermarket would probably be a waste of money.

BTW, the Track Pack comes with a 3.73 rear. 3.73 is a really good gear for the street, so I wouldn't touch it unless you really wanted a steeper gear.

Depending on your budget, you could do headers (shorty or long-tube), suspension (lowering springs, shocks/struts etc), obviously some sort of forced induction (nitrous, supercharger, turbo) but that gets expensive. I also feel that a good set of tires are an under appreciated mod
