Hi, great to find this forum. Looks like a lot of good info and people here. Just bought a 2011 Mustang V6. Traded in my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Hemi. Loved that Jeep, but was killing me on fuel. 14-15 mpg. Looked around at fuel savers for a while. Was stunned to see Ford claiming 31 mpg hwy on the new V6's. Never been a Ford guy, but when the new body styles came out last year. I liked it, the new motor this year on top of that and I was sold. Driving 20,000 miles per year mostly highway so the 31 mpg is going to be great. I can't believe they how quick this car is too. I modded my Jeep and learned a lot on one the great Jeep forums. Probably going to happen with the Stang also.

And don't forget, that 3.7L V6 is getting almost as much power as a stock 4.6L V8!!!!
That V6 is one damn nice engine, very nice HP to fuel economy ratio, even better than what the new 5.0L Coyote engine gets.
And the reason why the 5.7L hemi sucks at sipping fuel is because Chrysler never invested in going DOHC with phased cam timing. Foing that could have bumped the 5.7L hemi to make nearly 20MPG.

Man, FORD are sellin' alot of those '11 V6'ers...great car!
I'd love to be driving one of those back & forth to work; I'm not gonna
even tell you all what I drive everyday...
