and yeti I'm worried about getting a ticket, since a town I regularly go through has a strict noise policy, so are they really loud? and since it's a muffler-delete will I pass inspection?

 

I would assume so because you arent changing the Cats....even with a sniffer test you should be fine. I know here in AZ I am ok because they only plug into the cars computer if the car was made after 1985 or somewhere close to that.

they are definitely louder then stock but not if you just cut off the mufflers. The pypes kit does have some resonators in it to help with the sound. I know there is a pypes kit with mufflers that sounds good as well.

I thought the pypes bomb kit was going to be louder but ended up being perfect for what I was looking for.

If you're driving at night, you can definitely wake the neighbors but I dont think its overly loud.

But I do have a question. The dealer I bought it from said the 1st owner put a cobra rear end in her I'm not sure what he meant by that. Maybe gears? He surely couldnt have put in a whole rear end, not when I only payed 14k for her...

 

yeah not too sure what they mean by that. Could be visual mods on the back, could be the axel, could be the gears....or all of them.

Unfortunatly what I know about Mustangs is limited to the GT 4.6L between 2005 and 2009.

 

he MAY have been full of if. he could have been trying to allude to the car having an IRS installed. which the 07+ gt500 does not have. those stripes also aren't factory as far as i know. seems like he was just trying to make the car sound like a good deal.
