New guy with first stang from KY
Hey guys, my name is Matt. I live in KY about 30 miles northeast of Louisville. I am a first time mustang owner. This because about 2 weeks ago I got a killer deal on a '96 GTS (248A) with 82,000 original miles. I found it on craigslist and noticed it had a nice set of chrome 18" bullets. He wanted $2800 for the car and after negotiating back and forth on the wheels, the guy tells me I'll sell you the whole car for $1900. I offered him $1500 and now it's mine. Other then the passenger door/fender being a darker red due to a deer running into it, the body is straight as an arrow. It has an automatic tranny that slips a little but that's no biggy since I plan to do a 5 speed swap. The interior was about halfway dyed black but I now almost have it finished.
The wheels and tires only have about 200 miles on them. He said he gave $1100 for them so the way I see it I bought a running driving mustang for $400. Also it has brand new slotted rotors and brakes on all 4 corners, an aluminum intake swap, stack racing plenum, 70mm performance parts throttle body, a chrome full cold air intake, and upgraded plug wires.
It's not perfect and still has a few minor bugs to work out but what do you guys think for $1500 bucks?
