Talking New and Got Lots of Tech Questions!

Hey everyone my name is Bryan,

I got something going on here that might seem odd to most of you, but your all mustang fans then you might think what im doing is a cool Idea.

I own a Lexus SC300, how ever I have been looking for a Larger motor to put into my car because I a few huge Turbos that are more suited for a V8... my Friend is a mustang guy and I was talking with him about the 5.0 and after doing some reserch I found that the 5.0 from the Mountaineer has better or stonger heads and the Cobra Style intake. Well 2 Days ago I got a mountaineer 5.0 pulled it my self out of the running truck for free im verry excited about this but I need information ideas and input... I know that most of you would not mind sharing some information.

so my questions to start.
1. What year Mustang parts are interchangable with this motor? im assuming the 1995 cobra parts would work but please let me know

2. I am looking for a Transmisson for this Engine, I would like a 5 or a 6 speed but im looking for one with wide ratio, I live in germany and am just planning a 1000+ hp autobahn killer, Im not looking for 1/4 mile times, So anyone got information about that I would Love it.

so thanks for reading everyone I hope this build doesnt bother anyone HEHE! But i think if your a mustang Fan then you probly think im just making this Lexus Better, cause the lexus lovers think im crazy.

Thanks again,
Bryan.

Welcome to MF! .... I believe that the engine in interchangeable with a '87-95 Mustang 5.0!! ...Don't forget, after 1992, Ford stopped using forged pistons (went to hypereutectic pistons)....So your going to have to build something to handle 1000 hp!

Go with a T-56 tranny....GL
