New to the forum ready to make my mods
In 1997 my first car was a 1987 four cyl. mustang. It was a POS but I loved it because it was a mustang. I only had it a little over a year before it really started falling apart and I had to sell it.
After all of these years I finally got a real mustang. At the end of last year I got a great deal and was able to finally afford a black 2005 premium GT convertible. Everyone is teasing me but I am almost as proud of that car as I am my kids, lol.
I put on a JLT cold air intake a few weeks ago and I am waiting for my SCT tuner to come in the mail. I have done a lot of research into it and within the next couple of weeks I will be installing a Bassani crossover pipe and Borla stinger axle backs.
It has the shaker 500 stereo system in it but I have already swapped out the door 6x9's with aftermarket Sony Xplodes I believe they are 40Watts RMS.
I have about a grand left to make as many of the mods on my wish list as possible. Hopefully that is where this forum can give me a hand.
I want to upgrade the shaker head unit. I have a 480W aftermarket amp that I'm trying to figure out what to do with. I want to stay naturally aspirated and I'm looking at more cost effective upgrades.
Things I'm considering are: suspension and an underdrive pulley.
I'm on the fence about a chin spoiler and I would love a different hood (maybe shaker) but those can wait and aren't on the top of my priority list.
A lot of people want Ferrari's, Bentley's, etc. but since I was in high school my dream car has always been a 1972 mustang Mach I. It's still not feasible for me just yet but at least I've finally got a pretty pony.
