Default Moving from rice to beef?

Hello, Everyone.

I'm new here.
I should say, firstly I don't own a Mustang.
I have liked late 60s Stangs ever since I was young though.

In the late 80s/ early 90s I got into tuning Japanese cars,
to the point were I ended up moving from the States to Japan to be around the scene.
After 10+ years living here, I have found myself being drawn to American muscle.

I am currently preparing to buy another car and I have my eye on a completely stock 1995 GT Convertible.
In Japan, they're all A/T, so no M/T (except Cobras). The car is in great shape and has very little mileage.

The problem:
I must confess that I have no knowledge of American cars...how to go about making power.
It would be nice to have at least around 300-325hp, but what could I do (without touching engine internals and without supercharging) to get that kind of power?

Before getting the car, I just want to know what to expect as far as tuning goes.

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would check out the tech section:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...95-mustang-14/

I'm sure getting 325 out of it is going to be super easy. Exhaust, CAI and tune should do it. That's an easy number.

Thanks very much. Now that I know what to expect, I'm stoked. I really hope I can get the GT.

Thanks for the greetings and info/advice all.
