New Member, First Mustang!
Hey guys,
Long time fan of mustangs here, finally got my first Mustang last week. I got a 2002 Mustang GT. Its completely stock with the exception of the exhaust, which whoever owned the car previously did a good job with because it sounds really nice. I don't think I'll do much to the car, maybe an intake system and buy a tuner for it. Definitely open to some low cost suggestions from the members in the forum. I'll keep looking around the forums and enjoying everyone's stangs. Thanks for the great forum!

welcome to MF, im a new kid on the block as well! I have 2 mustang gt's one is a 5 speed the other is an auto. The auto is supercharged and the 5 speed has a programmer and bbk cold air intake. That was a great place to start for under $400 Bucks.

Yep, read up some on the forums and found some stuff I want to do. The stickys on the forums, especially the mods for beginners sticky, have been super helpful. I decided that I want to keep my ride N/A and do a few small mods. Its a daily driver for me too so I think I would benefit from keeping it simple.
Here are the mods I'm thinking in order:
1. Full length Sub-frame Connectors- super impressed with what was written about these. Fairly cheap so seems like a no brainer.
2. K&N Filter- Read that you don't really need a whole cold air intake. Dropping in a good filter is also pretty cheap and easy.
3.70mm Throttle body- Seems like a good upgrade from the stock one, also pretty affordable.
4. Bama Tuner - Tunes for life sounds awesome.
As for later upgrades, if monetary conditions permit, I'm thinking long headers, a better clutch, and a nicer shifter. That really would be it for performance upgrades. Also definitely want to get the chin spoiler and shorter antenna.
As far as tints and lowering the ride, it already has tints, but its a poor tint job, so i will get those replaced soonish. I'm not a huge fan of the idea of lowering it, especially being a daily driver. I guess I will have to read more about the ride quality and such if you lower it. Thanks for all the great feed back and welcomes, really helpful forum so far.
