Any one who would know i would love your in put. I have a 1986 mustang with a 3.8L v6 And I want to put a 1968 5.0L in it with a c 4 trans Will I have to change my mount towers for the engine or will the v6 work Any other help will be greatly apreciated. thakyou<IMG style="WIDTH: 30px; HEIGHT: 22px" height=33 src=smileys/smiley5.gif width=43 border="0"></P>

why not go with a 5.0 out of a newer stang? welcome. you would have to change the mounts.</P>

The reason I don't go with anything newer is, thats what I have lying around, limited funds, and mom's on my back to get rid of the car the 302 is in. I also have a 1983 mercury capri with a 3.8L in it. To many pokers in the fire and not enough time.

Nothing wrong with an older 302. There are a buttload of carb'd 302's that will hand the EFI guys their *** on a silver platter. Plus you get the added advantage of being able to super-tune your fuel delivery the old-fashioned way, without computers. Simplicity at it's finest.
