Tach does not work

Tach does not work
Coming home from a charity car show,, my 1994 pace car died with no power. AAA and found that the starter wire shorted out on the exhuast manifold. After , rewrapping with lumb and electic tape and charging the battery it was firing up as usual. ONLY no tachometer. Is there a fuse for this or circuit breaker ? Thanks
