Default new member from texas with old question

New member with probably and old question. I have a 2001 cobra got into some deep water and unfortunately sucked water into engine. I pulled the plugs was able to get engine to turn over did an oil change put plugs back in and engine fired right up but with a loud knocking and spit out a lot of oil so guessing the motor is toast. Does anyone know if I can use a short block maybe from a Lincoln Mark 8 and just use all my top end and accessories can't find a decent price for a 2001 cobra short block so wondering if and other short block my work

I'd like to know how you sucked up that much water lol.......sounds like a good story.

Otherwise start a new thread in the Tech section, they can answer your question over there if you don't get one here. Good luck
