Need help deciding
Okay so I'm looking for my first real car, I have a budget of about 23k and I am deffinately going to be getting a mustang. The question is, however, which year and style to buy. I have my eyes currently on two models. The first is the brand new 2015 mustang, the problem is that I can only afford up to the ecoboost trim. My other choice is to get a used 5.0 from say, 2011 or 2012 with about 30,000-45,000 miles on the car. I need help from someone with experience on how long a 5.0 will run without any problems at all or rather how many miles before problems can be expected, whether it be engine, transmission or any other big ticket issues.
Any opinions on which to get would also be greatly appreciated, mainly whether it would be frowned upon to have a 4 cylinder mustang?
Thanks

1: It is a brand new model, which means it will come with brand new problems.
2: You will lose a lot of the value to depreciation within one year. Older models have already depreciated and are still great vehicles.
3: You will have lots and lots of cars to choose from with under 40k miles if you're looking at 2011-2014 models. Most gas vehicles when properly maintained can make it up to 150k miles. Some go much further.
4: If you buy new, you are settling for less options with your budget. If you were to buy a used car, you could find one FULLY LOADED with the engine you want! This is my favorite reason of all!

welcome & good luck!
Depending on what you're looking to buy exactly, I've been seeing a lot of great deals on used, modified Mustangs lately. Just look around, and I'm sure you find several to choose from.
