Default Need Advice

I need some advice. When I purchased my 2015 Mustang GT on Saturday I was talked into two different add ons for a Extended Service Plan and a Maintenance Plan. I am now having buyer's remorse concerning the Maintenance Plan. I think the cost is too high for this plan. I do have up to 30 days to have it refunded back to me. I do like having the extended Service Plan and will keep that for 72 months. Would it make sense to cancel my Maintenance Plan consisting of an oil change every 7,500 miles? If I did I would have to pay a $50 charge.

Welcome, sorry I'm not going to be much help on new car stuff. But their maintenance plan makes YOU pay $50 per oil change ??? That just seems backwards to me, but I've never bought a new car so I wouldn't know.

Good luck and hopefully someone will chime in here to help you out.

First off... welcome to MF!

I have never been a big fan of extended maintenance contracts. I have even had my kids get forced into them, I.e. Financing Not approved unless you buy, bastards!

I actually bought one of these plans for my 2005, I guess because it was a complete redo for the mustang and had no track record, history... Decided after a few years that the car was quality and decided to remove the option and get a refund for the balance due.

The dealer, who was still there, went bankrupt and reincorporated under a different name, which killed the refund...

You have 30 days to cancel. IMHO? You would be better off using the extrapolation amount in your payment for this to pay off your car sooner!

Refund, that crap is a waist of money. They tried to get me into that stuff since my car was still classified as "new" with 2300 miles when I bought it. $45 a month they wanted.
