Transporting Classic Mustang, Insurance Etc
Back in 08 i had a '78 mustang, graduation gift to myself. Sold it when i started work fulltime. Our home is all ford enthusiasts and mustang fans. Recently, very unexpectedly we learned we will be bringing home a 68 mustang. Two owner vehicle, second being from the 70s to current. Never seen a single winter, salt/snow or rain. ALWAYS garage kept. Spent some time on drag strips in the 80s. Hasnt been driven in 16 years. Comes with a few motors, all needing a rebuild. its not currently running. Will be trailered home.
I never insured my 78. Should we insure this 68 in non running condition? Wheres a good company for that coverage? Also, we live in the midwest, snow is just starting to melt. Is it alright to trailer it now before roads are completely salt free? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you and congrats on that Mustang.
Insurance is up to you, depending on the value your putting on this car. If it's not a big hit to the bank account, I'd say it would be a good idea.
As for trailing in this weather, tough call. You guys actually got more snow than we did this year so our roads are pretty clear of salt already. They probably used more down by you. I'd say its OK to do on a nice day, but still give it a good wash when you get her home. Good luck
