Hi just wanted to check in. A little about myself... live in California own a 65 Mustang Coupe with a 289. The car is Honey Gold (green lol). Absolutely love the car. Bought it last summer without wife knowing, called her on the way home with the car and of course u know how that goes but told myself nothing would stop me from getting another '65......
You see, when I was 19, over 20 years ago, I bought a white 65 coupe with a straight 6. Got it for $700 and prob not worth much more at the time. Long story short, I had no money, the car leaked oil everywhere. Well it blew up on the freeway near my home on I-80. Got out of the car on the freeway, walked home, and never went back for the car. Just left it on the side of the freeway! Basically I didn't have a quarter in my pocket at the time.
As I got older, (and wiser) I missed the car more and more. So I swore to myself if I ever got enough extra money, I was gonna get another 1965 Mustang Coupe!
Well I finally had the opportunity and made it happen. No regrets, except for leaving the first car of course lol.

No not Hi-Po. I wish.... Ok gonna see if I can post pic through my phone.

 

So I got the car prob 99% stock. Right away things started failing. New alternator, ignition, so I started tinkering. It's got a new performer intake, edelbrock carb, things like that. Latest improvement was added 1" lower springs in front w/ new shocks, and 1" lower leaf springs and shocks in rear.

 

Anything shiny I added
