My First Fox Body
last Sunday morning, My GF and I went to look at a 48' Studebaker, by the end of the day, I'd paid a deposit to a gentleman to buy his 1986 GT Convertible. Now i've got some serious explaining to do with my Studebaker peeps. (I think they will approve). I fell in love with fox body mustangs in the summer of 1985 when I was doing a college internship. One of the guys I worked with bought a T-top, black on red 85 GT. he tossed me the keys, I never forgot about that car. Off and on, I've looked at mid 80's mustangs, most were already beaten to death, very hard to find one that still decent.
So my 1986 is a black on red convertible 5 speed with 75k. is it perfect? no, its got some minor issues, but the paint and interior are original.. and look pretty good for being 32 years old. The "warts" I think I can handle, but I also understand the value of a forum like this. I know there will be times I'll need help and advice, after all, this is my first non carbureted "fun car" So I'll have some learning to do. I cannot wait.
