Default Water Pump

Replacing stock water pump on 1971 Mustang, 302. Any recommendations on good quality brand? Want to stay away from remanufactured at big box auto parts store but do not want to pay hundreds. Next question....go with standard or high flow water pump? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

A stock replacement brand name pump is what I'd recommend. I just looked on RockAuto and I wouldn't go with the $18 pumps if you can afford better. The AC Delco is $40.

But who knows if even that's a rebranded China knock off nowadays.
