Default Convertable weatherstrip

Hi. I have a question I need help with. So I have a 1999 mustang gt convertable that has some leaks in the convertable top. Most of them I can patch up for now but there is one area I don't know what to do about. It's in both the rear side windows, in the bottom corner where the glass meets the convertable top. It has an opening, but it doesn't look like anything is ripped or worn, it kind of looks like it's supposed to be there. But its a pretty big opening where water can get through. I want to get my car ready for the rain next week.

Yeah that gap does look a bit weird. I had a convertible fox and there was never a gap like that. Normally I would say frame damage but you mentioned that it was on both windows. Not sure.

Here's a better picture with the window down on the other side. The other pictures make it look like the gap runs the height of the window, but it's actually only at the very bottom. It kinda looks like it just runs out of weatherstrip and leaves the last part open.
