Default Just Bought v6... top 3 perf. Mods?

I'm looking to get HP for the best bang for my buck on a 2013 V6 I just bought. I've heard to avoid the small things and go big though...(and yes, I could have gone big and gotten a GT but couldn't afford it.

Congrats on your new V6. For starters, the first thing I would suggest is a tune. The Bama tuner from Americanmuscle http://www.americanmuscle.com/x4-cus...er-0510v6.html

I believe its the best, noticeable change in the stang. Then, I would go with CAI and some headers or exhaust. Some consider changing the gears as well.
Just my recommendations, happy modding and good luck!

Start with a tune. That will make the biggest difference and is easy to do. It's just plug it in and download. If you go with something like Bama you get tunes for life so if you add any other mods later they will change the tune for free.

Don't bother with a CAI. I have one and it was a waste of money. I couldn't tell any different other then sound.

I 2nd a tuner. It literally the only mod that doesn't wear out or get outgrown.

Welcome to the forum.

Check out the Tech section for any other questions/tips. There's a ton of information in there.

Good luck

3.73:1 rear end gear, You will probably notice some better acceleration but its not a mod for HP

With a 2013 he probably has 2.73 gears now. The gear ratio on the 2013+ transmission is very different from past generations. Jumping to the 3.73 will mean that first gear is EXTREMELY short and the 1 - 2 shift will happen before getting through an intersection from a stop if an automatic; if manual first gear will be almost useless. A 3.55 is about as small a ratio as you want.

I went with 3.73's and think they're pretty awesome. In regular driving, yes, 1st gear is short, but normal driving isn't what you get the gears for. I would bypass the Bama tunes and go straight for the MPT 93 performance tune with trans tuning. Trust me, I've had both..there's a night and day difference . So gears, 1 piece drive shaft, and tune. You will then be looking into better tires.
