Default thinking on pulling the trigger

Ok so first off I don't own a mustang YET! but I am going to look at one later today but I did have a few questions before I jump in, I am looking at a 94 GT, roughly how much horse power will the 5.0 make before I need to start looking a learning how to tune a Quarter horse or eliminator chip. and what modifications other than the obvious heads, blower, cam would require to go to a chip. This is going to be a collage commuter for my daughter for a few months but then will become my sons project and I would like to keep ahead of the learning curve when it comes to adding power. I can build a old school carb motor all day long but once you get into sensors and how they effect the tune I'm lost.

93 was the last year of the Fox Body's... I'm not so positive on 1st years of new models... 94 would be the 1st year of that body style. I had a 95 Contour (1st year of that car in US)...was a POS..
