Default Exhaust help.

I'm thinking about going to an H pipe with resonator delete. Hear H pipe smooths out engine. Don't want an over loud system just looking for some improvement in the exhaust system. X pipe verses H pipe?

X pipes are just a tad louder and provide a tad more horsepower. They both smooth out the exhaust pulses. Removing the resonator will definitely make the exhaust louder and perhaps introduce the dreaded drone at highway speeds.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Guess I'll just have to find someone who has done this and go for a ride with them to see if I can live with it.

This is the best solution to your question. Nothing beats the sound in person. You can listen to exhausts all day on line and it never will sound like it does in real life.
