Hey everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it is possible to get a newer style key fob for an older mustang?

I recently bought a 2003 SVT Cobra and I would really like to get a newer style of key similar to that of something like what the 2014 mustangs had. I've owned both a 2014 mustang and a 2016 and their style of key is much more convent by having the buttons and key all in one piece rather than in two separate pieces. I've tried searching google and did really have any luck finding what I was looking for. If anyone can point me in the right direction or knows if its possible to purchase a key like that and have it programmed to my car I would really appreciate the info!

 

The 14+ FOBs are totally different FOBs; frequencies, chip, and how the key is read.

The short answer is no.

You may be able to find older keys with the FOB heads.
