Exclamation Accelerator pedal is not functioning properly

Hi, I'm new around here and I have an issue with my 2004 Ford Mustang GT. My accelerator pedal is depressed in father then it should be compared to the brake and clutch and I don't understand why. When I try to put the pedal back to its proper place, it just limply drops again. I have a hunch that the throttle cable may need to be tightened, but I don't have the time to diagnose the exact issue with it. Could I get a little help?

So the pedal is functioning properly, just that the pedal sits lower than the others.

The pedal is known to sit lower than the other pedals by default... I did recall seeing a mod for that somewhere, and a brief Google search yielded this one: https://www.svtperformance.com/threa...ust-do.966790/

Might want to investigate that a bit more to see if you'd want to go that route.
