Default Bought another Mustang

Hi everyone! my name is Mike. I have been on this sight before but it has been awhile since I have posted on here. I have a 1985 Ford Mustang GT that I have owned for over ten years. I have fixed and improved a lot of things on it. I have now came into buying a 2003 Mustang GT from my son who just bought a Tesla. I really don't know much about 1994 to 2004 Mustangs and I hope to learn more about them from you guys. I am a little concerned about the way My son says it runs. By that I mean he said when he gets to about 80 on the interstate it seems to lose power. All the wires and plugs have been changed and it had a complete tune-up He has a Borla Exhaust with a X-pipe that is VERY loud and raspy. I like that it is loud but is there a way to get rid of the raspy sound without losing the loudness with a resonator? I have been told that a lot of the times with the 4.6 you get what you get (whatever that means) Any advise or help would be appreciated. Thank you very much!
