Hello from Central Florida, I just acquired my Church pianist's 2007 V6 Premium convertible. She bought it as a former rental with 29k on it and has used it as her daily driver since. I've always told her to let me know when she was ready to part with it and she finally did!
My dad had 3 new Mustangs when I was young - '64 1/2 coupe, '65 coupe, '66 convertible. In '76 he bought a used '66 GT convertible with all but two factory options, that one was sweet but for some reason he sold it when I got my license a year later, lol. I've come very close to pulling the trigger on buying a Mustang of my own quite a few times but needed trucks, SUVs and vans as a more practical vehicle.
I've wanted a Gen 5 convertible since they came out because of the retro styling cues and I'm sure Dad would have bought one when they came out if he was still alive, so now I'm driving this for him as an extra vehicle.
At 61, this is actually the first "car" I've ever bought myself and Wifey has only had to since we married.
For years I was active in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forum and am currently the Moderator for the Ford Transit USA Forum. Looking forward to getting into this community too!
