Default tire sizes

I have a 2011 Mustang premium coupe V6. Factory tire size is 250/65R/17. Currently I'm running 235/50R/18. My speedometer is off and it's running my odometer meter up in miles. I researched the tire sizes and found that 255/50R/18's are the closest in size. Can I run them or will they rub?

Probably get a bit more help in the s197 section rather than in here. I'm not sure what fits on the newer mustangs, you may also be able to recalibrate the speedo for different sized tires but I'm not sure how to do it on the newer ones.
