Default Insurance

How much in the year 2024 would the insurance be for a person who has been insured since 2016, didn't have any accidents for the past 7 years and wants just the minimum state coverage with towing? The car is a 2012 premium non gt convertible. Does anybody have an insurance plan they can recommend? Help!

Default The reason I'm asking

Is because I've always had Beetles. The first was my first car the day I got my license in 2016. It was a 2017 se non convertible lease so my insurance was about $480 a month through Geico (very comprehensive) with towing. The car I mentioned above is a 13 year old convertible and my last car was a 2003 VW Beetle base non-convertible that I have had for a short while, because I've been waiting to upgrade to my dream car. The 2003 costs me about $155 a month for insurance with towing.

Default I feel like

I'm doing something wrong because my Aunt thinks that's ridiculously high. She doesn't pay that much for a 2014 Colorado with bells and whistles.

Insurance costs are going to vary from location to location. Just start calling insurance companies until you find one you like.

A few noteworthy comments. Mustangs, as a rule, have higher insurance rates than say a Ford Escape. The reason is simple the number of insurance claims made against them. In my case, the annual cost (full coverage and then some) between my 2019 Ford Ranger and my 2024 Mustang Eco-Boost amounts to $277 per year increase for the Mustang. Your age is also a factor with younger drivers paying more. Just be thankful you didn't buy a Doge Charger RedHead!
