Wear spot on convertible top
There is a spot on my convertible top that I recently noticed on my 2011 GT. It is oval shaped, about the size of a half dollar and is in the center, about two inches behind the portion of the front of the top that has a solid support. In other words, about a foot back from the front of the top. The spot is a bit shiny, as if the top has been rubbing something in that area. I lowered the top and it does not appear to rub when the top is down. If it makes any difference, I don't use the top boot when it's down. Anyone else have this issue? Should I be concerned about longevity? Of course, my warranty expired a few months ago. I plan to have this car a long time.

Sadly convertible tops show wear over the years, especially if they spend a lot of time outside. I replaced the top on my old Mustang when I got it, and it needed another one when I sold it. Just comes with the territory.
