own a 97 V6 and planing on rebuilding my engine due to neglect by previous owner. would like some suggestions on type of pistons, heads, intake, and etc... to use.

what would i have to do in order to change from a v6 to a v8?

Never go off of low ball quotes. There are so many things you have to do to do a V8 swap. In all honesty, it will be some where around $5,000.00 and then you will have a V8 like every one else, Whoop'dee'do. But, if you put $5,000.00 into building your V6, holly shyt!!! You will have something differant and unique. You will hand V8's thier ***** in a sack!! There's just something about a V6 Mustang blow'n the doors off of a Corvete that's beautifull.
The moral of my reply, is if you have two cylinders more...
It doesn't mean your faster, just a cylinder *****.
There is a lot that you can do with a v6 and they can be very fast, but in all honesty in the long run it will be cheaper and you'll benefit more from the v8.

I have a 95 v6 that I'm selling and I have done alot of work to it and I am already up to about 12,000$, a lot of cash and now I have a 91 gt and it rocks, and i have invested about 7,000$ into her and she is faster than my v6 will ever be.

But hey that's just my opinion, do what you like and just have fun with her.
