4th Annual Northern Virginia Mustang Club Car Show & Club Picnic Announcement

Ok Members,
The Car Show as you know was rescheduled due to the 50% chance of "Wet Stuff", we had to make the call otherwise we would have lost our substantial deposit. I know a few of you said it did not RAIN, but with the way the "Weather Men" call the weather we did what we had to do, any how we had it rescheduled for 5 November 2006 at Algonkian Park (Shelter #1). I will be at the location right around 7:00am getting the parking lot/pavilion squared away with the help of our staff. I know last year due to it being in November the bathrooms were closed for the winter, this year we have ordered portable facilities that will be in place for the event.

The Car Show setup begins at 9am, The voting begins at NOON, so all Car Show Participants need to be in place, and ready to go. The Cooking starts at 12pm and should be over by 2pm. The voting is over at 3pm and the award ceremony should begin no later than 4pm. everything is FREE, so come on out and set your beautiful ride up in a Spot, fill out your registration paperwork, set back and relax, bring your portable chairs, kids, spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend and have fun. We have a "DJ" that will be making announcements, playing music. We will have a 50/50 Raffle and other surprises.
I have been contacted by "Tysons Ford" will be in attendance and will bring some NEW Mustangs out and will provide some items for raffles as well. We are expecting our Sponsors to be on hand to talk to the NVMC Members, ask them questions, hang out.
As last year Ebby & I (and other members wishing to help) will be cooking the Burger & Dogs, we will provide the drinks, chips, buns, condiments, plates, utensils etc., so really there is nothing to do but have fun. This is our last Organized EVENT in 2006 (minus the monthly meetings of course), so bring the "Steeds" out and show them one last time. I am pretty sure that a few of our members (6-7) will have their 2007 Shelby's in attendance too :
The event is FREE for ALL NVMC members no matter how new you are to the club, come on out.


As promised, below are the driving directions to get to Algonkian Park (47001 Fairway Dr, Sterling, Va.) and we will be at Shelter#1!! I hope to see everyone there to help eat all this food and enjoy all the cars!!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: If you are coming from the expo center area (Chantilly) take rt.28 north (approx 7-8 miles north of the expo center) until you get to Church rd (rt.625) and turn right onto church rd (rt.625), then go approx. 1 mile until you get to Cascades Parkway (rt.637) at a stop light and turn left onto Cascades Parkway (rt.637), once you are on Cascades Parkway just continue on this road until it dead ends into the Algonkian Park (approx. 4-5 miles) at which point the road turns into Fairway Drive and just follow the signs to get to Shelter #1. If you are coming from any point east of Chantilly just take rt.66 west to the rt.28 north exit and follow the above directions. Cascades Parkway goes across rt. 7 about a mile or so east of the Dulles Towne Center mall in case you are coming down rt. 7. If you are coming from rt. 7 make sure you take the Cascades Parkway NORTH exit. If there is any confusion with the directions please contact me directly so I can help.



Car Show-Vehicles Allowed: All Mustangs & Ford Performance Vehicles & Special Invites (Pre Approval from Ebby or Ceece)

Trophies- (30) Popular Vote Trophies + Best Engine, Best Paint and Best in Show.


Special Requests: If you would like to (this is not mandatory) bring a "Dish" or "Desert" in other words, if you have that special family recipe that is just delicious, please make it and bring it, we will love it I'm sure. The NVMC will be providing Burgers & Dogs, Soda, Chips, Plates, Utensil's, Condiments, etc. NO ALCOHOL Allowed.
