Which Mobile 1 oil? Which filter
I currently run valvoline high mileage synthetic blend and I think I am going to switch to Mobile 1 next oil change but i have a few quick questions first.
1. Should I run the regular Mobile 1 5w-20. Mobile 1 extended performance 5w-20. Mobile 1 high mileage 5w-30? I know 5w-20 is recommended but I wasn't sure about the high mileage stuff, my car is nearing 100k.
2. Which filter do you guys like best? I was thinking either motorcraft or mobile 1. Not sure though
3. I plan on putting some seafoam in the oil a few hundred miles before I change it. I've heard things about changing your spark plugs after you seafoam and things like that, but I just put fresh plugs in. Any truth to this?
Thanks.

As for the oil how long do you plan on going before changing it?
The filters are both great, motorcraft is cheaper.
Not you dont have to change the plugs, Ive used seafoam many times without a problem.

Always Mobil 1 Synthetic (just switched to 0w-30, usually use 5w-20 or 30), and either Mobile 1 or K&N filter; and changes around 3500 mi. The car just rolled 83K, I sleep well at night running that program.

Well I now have 1,000 miles till my next oil change. I just checked my sticker, because up till now ive been having my local valvoline shop do it, and they used 5w-30, but it says 5w-20 on the oil cap and manual. Is 5w-30 better for the winter months?

Either should be fine, even better would be 0w-20 or 30, as it's slightly thinner at startup (cold engine) than the 5w oils.
