Just curious how much the oil change is using Amsoil in our cars. I went to the Amsoil site and it comes up blank when I enter the year and make etc. Anyone running Amsoil that can tell me a ballpark figure on the cost of the change including the filter?

About $90 with 0w30 SSO and amsoil filter but you can easily go 10k miles between changes. It's worth the cost.
And sign up for the preferred buyer program for an extra $20. It may make the first purchase/oil change slightly higher but subsequent changes you will make the money back. Just be sure to purchase the products for another oil change within 12 months time if you don't drive over 10k annually or it won't be worth it.

Just went and purchased myself another 6 quarts of 0w30 SSO for a change. $62 with shipping and no preferred discount...so yes yours would be around $75 w/ shipping. I plan to use a Purolator Pure One filter this change and swap it at 5k interval while running the oil out to 10-12k.
I've been using 0W30 SSO in this car since new and it loves it. My car is spec'd for 20wt too but since I live in TX where I never see <30 degree temps I'll stick with the 30wt.

Thanks guys. The car does actually call for 20wt, but so did the 03 Cobra I used to have. I ran 30w in it from the first change on. From what I understand the 20w helps squeeze a little extra fuel mileage out. I am no expert and if I wanted fuel mileage that bad I would have bought something else. I usually do put more than 10k miles per year on my cars, but 2 oil changes a year is fantastic as far as I see it.

If it's pulling a Wix up they probably don't have an amsoil filter for the car yet. I've discovered purolator make motorcraft's filter and they're a pretty damn good filter. Pick up a purolator pure one, mobil one, K&N, royal purple or the wix. They're all good filters.
The quality of lubricant is WAY more important than the filter brand. And you already have that covered with the amsoil 0w30.
