I love how Power Foam makes oil and carbon deposits melt away. Works much better than Seafoam too.

the power foam says not to use it on engines with a maf sensor. how did you put it into the intake without harming the maf? and was the car running when you did this?

I've had high milage engines that used oil for years; like my 1966 truck that has been using oil since the 70's. If plugs start getting fouled then time to start thinking of rebuild.

I routinely flush my engines with kerosene/oil mix to remove and prevent sludge buildup that can block oil galleys. I successfully cleared oil blockage to lifters using kerosene/oil and auto trans fluid/oil; took all day. If you opt to flush engine then be aware that sludge clots can break free and plug oil filter; watch oil pressure very close following a flush!

Sludge buildup is more likely to occur at lower engine temps.

I've never found a carb cleaner that actually cleans the jets/passages inside.

Would be nice if something like powa foam would clean carb internals.

Too many time I have to disassemble a carb fouled with deposits. Have a tendency to let my rides sit too long.

the mas air flow sensor was removed(along with the cold air intake)
car was not running, not sure how well it would run with the mas air flow disconnected.

The first step is exactly how Shady described it, and in his tutorial. I liberally spray Power Foam into the intake manifold in all directions (While the engine isn't running) and I use a screw driver to fully open the throttle blade.

The second step consists of removing the vacuum hose that attaches to the brake booster. Spray the other half of a can into this hose while the engine is running. STOP THE ENGINE SOON AS YOUR CAN IS EMPTY. Put hose back on the brake booster. Allow the engine to sit for about 45 minutes. Start engine, you will have to force it to run, and drive down the road. Try to drive somewhere there isn't much traffic or you will be playing Spy Hunter in town. LEO's may not like that. Drive the **** out of your car until you can't see anymore white smoke coming from your exhaust.

You are done.
