Default Synthetic back to conventional oil

Is there any harm going back to conventional oil after running synthetic oil for about two years? Main reason I want to change is cheaper oil

might be cheaper but with synthetic your changing your oil FAR less. if you use amsoil or similar with 10k+ OCI's your changing oil 1/3 as often as regular conventional. so the initial cost is higher, but your not spending 20$ every 3k miles on a cheaper oil change...

might be cheaper but with synthetic your changing your oil far less often. 10k+ with a good synthetic vs 3k with any standard conventional.... while it may cost more for that one oil change your changing oil 3x as much with cheaper stuff.

yeah i know running synthetic last longer and in the long run it will be cheaper, but i have leaks so having to buy $8-$9 for each quart of oil when i get low is spendy.

No harm will come, go ahead and switch. I agree with people who have leaking engines, synthetic is too much for waste via leaking.

True, but depending on which gasket it is can be expansive. Unless he can do it himself.

Usually on the 302 engines with age the big leak bandit is the rear main seal which is a cheap seal but by no means is an easy fix for a basic DIYer. Also replacing a rear main seal is a costly job at a shop and if the leak is "gushing" its probably easier/cheaper to just add oil between change intervals which would justify using a cheaper based conventional oil.
