I have a 2012 and read the same thing in the manual about not adding any additives to the gas. I don't get it, I have used Techron in all of my other cars and never had a problem. I don't even recall my other vehicle manuals telling you not to add additives to the gas except for octane boost , etc., and they didn't recommend adding any additives to the oil which I don't anyway. I use Amsoil, and even they don't want you putting additives in their oil, which is no surprise since it will screw up the formulation. But fuel system cleaner/injector cleaner? I don't understand why Ford would be against that.

+1 on that. We have seen lots of issues being caused by carbon build up and other drivability issues due to both cheap, crappy gas and fuel additives.

I pretty much stick to Chevron gas and probably change my fuel filters more often than many here think I should.
