15W40 is too heavy, and is also a common weight for diesel motor oil, which is formulated
differently, NOT for gas engines.
5W30 Synthetic is fine, but I think 0W20 or 5W20 is what it calls for. 5W30 won't hurt it,
and most likely 0W40 would be okay in the summer. 15W40, I would not run that in the
winter, you'll starve out the bottom end because it can't return from the heads fast enough.
Castrol has a good 0W40, and 5W30. Do not use diesel or Euro spec motor oil.
