Auto-x 90 lx notch?
Hi guys I am new here so bare with me please. I would like to set up a 5.0 notchback for auto-x, road race, and backroad canyon action. The car will be not be a daily driver so I dont fear a stiff susension. I am new to mustangs so if you guys could make some suggestion on how to get the car lighter and hanlde better I am all ears. I dont want to do any big power mods besides exhaust, flywheel, and gears. I am more concerned with suspension geometry and wieght reduction.
Thanks a bunch

if you are new to autocrossing as well as mustangs, i really suggest getting some seat time with the car in stock trim so you can see what you think needs to be improved and get used to pushing the car beyond its limits.
obviously if you are going all out and making a race prepped street car, you can definitely lose the interior, trunk liner, a/c, power steering, ect. run a fuel cell and ditch the gas tank. fiberglass hood, remove windows except for the windshield.
as far as suspension goes, get a good set of coilovers with agressive spring rates and freshen up all the stock rubber bushing with replacement urethane. sway bars, panhards, torque arms, etc are all by preference and how much you intend on spending. a good set of r-compounds and lightweight wheels are definitely in.
