IMO the length of membership plays an equally important role. i dont know how you would determine that, maybe 3 months or 6 months or something with 25 or more OR 50 posts before being able to sell? some people aren't really "into" chit chatting online all that much, but may still have some great stuff to offer up to people.
I'm in agreement with my77stang. I actually fit in this category myself, Ive been a member for quite awhile, I just don't really enjoy talking. I would hate to have to go run my post number up just to be allowed to sell stuff.

I voted 50. I was so excited about my new mustang back in December, I think I posted 50 the first day!

That is a good point.

i agree with 77 stang also. i've been on for about 9 months and don't have that many posts. some people throw in their 2 cents or ask for pics when they have no intention on buying anything or helping anybody. it's kind of annoying to watch some of these guys comment just because they have nothing better to do. i don't post just to get my post count up. i do agree that you shouldn't join just to sell stuff.

it should be 50. It's not hard to make 50 helpful posts on topics...If you dont like to talk, and don't post much, too bad I think. It's 50 posts, its not that much... And the amount of people who are actually active members here with less than 50 posts are few and far between so you are worrying about too small of a population to cater to them.

[sm=thanx.gif]It's about time some action was taken on this.

I know this threadis about post counts but also any post without a picture of the item for sale should be immediately deleted without warning.
If you haven't got a picture of it.......you haven't got it as far as I am concerned!

Keep up the good work!

I agree with some of the people here who say they don't post a lot but still like to be a part of the team. I love looking around for a good deal to buy or help out with a sale for someone, but I don't post a whooooole lot. I think there should be a membership time requirement OR post requirement...otherwise, long-term members who don't post a lot are going to be hurt by this. Just my opinion, been wrong before but don't tell anyone.
