Just curious as to why you say stay away?Bad experience? I've heard mixed reviews, that is why I am curious.

Performance Evolution is on Rt. 301 in Middletown, Delaware.

Evolution Performance is kind of hit and miss. I know Nelson and Fred, and like I said, they can be hot or cold, but if you're lucky enough to hit a time when Jon Lund is in town, he's probably one of the top 5 tuners in the country, and uses the Evolution Performance dyno facilities when he's here.

I don't know what's up with Tillman Speed since Chris Rose left to join the Bama crew at American Muscle to turn out canned mail order tunes. They did the build on my Mach 1, and Chris Rose tuned it, but I'm kind of in limbo since he left. I had some dealings this past spring with Matt at Performance Evolution, and I think he may be my goto guy in the future.

I was wondering the same thing and Chris Rose answered me on the forum saying that if you schedule a dyno time with Tillman, they will call him and he will come down. So I'm guessing that even though he is with AM, he will still do dyno tunes on the side for Tillman. Have to call Tillman and confirm. I had talked to Chris before he left about Tillman installing FRPP cams and the Kooks LT headers + Cattted h-pipe. Does Performance Evolution have the equipment to install and tune? Dumb question I know, but I couldn't get much from their website. Any info would be appreciated.

I like Evolution performance, I just got the impression that unless you have a big wallet, GT500 or 5.0 they really don't care to bother with something like LTs or gears for a DD GT. I could be wrong, that was just my impression.

That's good information to know about Tillmans. I've got nothing but good stuff to say about them! Chris Tillman, Harry, Mike, Chris Rose, they're all stand-up guys, and they did a great job on my car. It's just that now that the bank account is considerably leaner, I like the idea of staying in Delaware, where I don't have all those PA. sales taxes and stuff added to my bill!

Performance Evolution is a small, you might call it, one man shop, but they do all the same types of work and installs that the others do.

Matt is a perfectionist, from what I hear, and having met him, I would say that's true. He got me a tune that allowed me to get my car through the Delaware DMV inspection, when the others couldn't do it, and he wouldn't accept any money for it, so he gained my respect from that one simple thing that he did for me. That's why I think I may be sending my future business his way.
