the shop i used to work for charged 5.50/lb for gm, and 4.50/lb for ford. but that was because i set the prices. 
other place around there charged anywhere from 3.00 to 6.00/lb. i have looked into filling stattions in the past. i figure i could make my money back in a year or so, then have real cheap nitrous from there.

oh yeah,and i pay 3.25 a pound in illinois.with the streetracing scene here,nitrous is VERY popular...there are 5 shops that i can easily think of that sell nitrous,all within a 5-8 mile radius
