Default Turbo'ing a 5.0

My buddy works for a big company that rebuilds huge natural gas compressors and he runs the parts department. Well he could get ahold of a turbo real cheap and I was wondering what kind of turbo I would need. I know nothing about Turbo's and this is going onto a 1994 Cobra. I need to know asap, thanks.

Its depends on what kinda power ur looking to make. what rpm range, if ur going to build the motor. I have a T-70 on mine and it works wonders

I don't plan to much on building the motor up. Maybe a diff cam and evebtually a 306 but it is a stock cobra motor. What would be a good one to get? Name a few, he has a bunch laying around.\

They are garret turbos if that helps any.

How about you do a little research first and then start asking some questions.

Believe it or not, 95gtpa, this is research. I am looking up on google but asking other people that may have alot of experience is research. How about you don't reply in here unless you have something to add about turbo'ing a 5.0 because thats what this is about. Not telling me to go somewhere else but thanks anyways.

you may want to go a little smaller if possible to reduce spool time. and 95gtpa for a noob i would advise either be helpfull or move on.

maybe a 56mm or 62 mm to start with

Thanks for the information. I didn't know of T70 would be to big or not. I'll see what he has. If I got the Turbo how much would it cost me to set up properly. Cheapest way possible.

there is nothing cheap about running a turbo ( safely). If u screw up ....u really screw up! I would recommend a 60-66mm for stock motors and www.proturbokits.com sells a badass hot parts kit which is all ceramic coated and all u need is the intercooler (which I strongly recommend). This is about the cheapest way to go about it to piece it together and have a good looking functional kit! G/L

my $.02

Well sorry I just checked for the ht parts kit and apparently they stopped making it ...i guess lack of interest!...check out www.turbotechnologyinc.com
