back when i was thinking about having my headers put in for me, the cheapest i could fine was $100 for headers alone. and no one would do my catless hpipe cause its california

I'm only going to be living here for another two years and my registration is up, so I would get it renewed before I got it installed. Then I only have one more to worry about. Is it not worth the risk or can I just plain not get it installed?
Ok, so I was looking at the pricing for the catted x pipes and that isn't really something I want to do unless I have to since I already have the o/r x pipe.
My brother told me that he had to buy individual cats and have them installed on his TA. Would that restrict the airflow any more than just having the cats incorporated into the x pipe? Would it change the sound at all?
