It can be had as cheap as $2/lb or $2.10/lb at 2 shops here. There is a shop that offers 24hr. refills for $3.50/lb too.

I pay $3-$3.50 a pound... Looking into buying a large, 100 lb bottle though, approx $80, and selling the nitrous to others in the area for half that Port City Racing does... Profit! I'm in West Michigan.

Transfer pumps are expensive or you have to freeze the bottle you are filling for 24 hours.

At one time there was a company that sold brackets to mount a 100lb cylinder in a Mustang, it came up between the seats with the valve by the windshield. It looked rediculous.

yeah right. when you find it for that price let me know...i'll buy a thousand pounds of it.

i think you forgot the 1 in front of the 80.....it's about $2.75 / lb in a mother bottle. comes out to $178.75 + tax + deposit
then you need to get into your bottle. takes a hydrostatic pump to get 1000 psi

Hydrostatic... that's it... Last I checked the welding gas supply shop near here was selling the nitrous that cheap, they may have been closing out though... I haven't got all the details yet... We'll see how it turns out.

Edit: Well I personally didn't check, but had someone check for me, it's possible that I'm missing a 1... but either way, with the prices for the normal vendors around here, I can still sell the stuff from the huge bottle at 1/2 price and make money.
