look into Tweecer, FAST, Big Stuff 3, mega squirt, and AEM. you can also look at pms which doesnt require a laptop

Big Stuff 3 seems to be the hottest thing out right now probably because it's one of the newer systems. The FAST XFI would be my other choice. There are tons of experienced FAST tuners and programs all over the place.

what are these capable of? with wideband O2 sensors/monitor and something like the PMS tuner, could you do things like change pulleys on a blower and retune so you don't lean it out?

how hard are they to use for tuning like that?

pms is by far the easiest but also has its limits. the pms cant turn off any functions of the eec such as egr.

all of them can handle pulley swaps. one nice thing about the pms is that with the 3 bar MAP you can tune it in the boost table so that when you do the pulley swap if the car is already tuned it should still be tuned for the new pulley cause all the new pulley does is add more boost. the pms being boost sensative automatically adds more fuel for the new pulley according to the tune you put in before the swap

wow, that's pretty impressive. sure makes tuning easy do you just leave it connected and do a run somewhere? so with a little basic knowledge, it wouldn't be too out of the question to swap pulleys back and forth, and not need to run to a dyno tuner everytime. i hate being so dependent on someone. i REALLY hate that same dependency costing $600 everytime I make a change.

the pms has a hand held display but there is a large computer that sits under the passenger side seat. if you buy the pms from AFM you get a base tune with it. basically you get a sheet asking specific questions about your mods and in a few days they fax back a base tune and its usually pretty damn close. its conservative and you tune from there
