Ok we have the v1sc-trim vortech on a 92 5.0 with a/c delete, and the belt tension is not right. If we put a smaller belt on we can't get it on the pulley, but if we put a slightly larger belt on and barely fits over the pulley once it goes on the belt is to loose( the belt rubbs underneath the tensioner)..It just seems that there is something not right. Have any of you ran into this, or do i just not make sence.. because i am just very frusrated with this piece of $hit!!!!!!!!![:@]

Double check your routing...I had that problem once and after the 3rd time putting it on, it worked.
What is the belt size you can get on there?

The Pulley for the SC isnt tensioning? or the acc. Belt?

I had to reroute the belt a hole different ways to get it right make sure ints wrapping around the crank and water pump right.

Yea, we tried routing every way possible..when we try and rap it around all the pulleys its like an inch to short. so we used a flat head and made it over the pulley, but when we let the tensioner down the tensioner smashes the belt to the water pulley. we checked the directions over and over again.. were thinking its something really stupid or they gave us something different.

 

What belt size you guys running? I had to special order mine because no sizes would work maybe you just need half inch shorter. I know with the AC delete it shortens the belt and people were running into all sorts of problems.

 

Stock pulley sizes? What size crank?? Underdrives?

 

i don't know the inches because im at my house now, but we tried a 745 and it was a bitch to get on but when the tensioner hit its still loose. then we tried a 735 witch in a inch shorter and it won't come even close. I think tomorrow we are going to put the a/c back on just to get it runing. Who did you order your kit from he got his from summit..

 

He did have the underdrives on there but wouldn't work. so he went back to the stock pulleys..
