Default supercharging a 5.0

i am just wondering if anyone has had any experience with supercharging a mustang 5.0. I have an 88 5.0 and might consider super charging it...i am looking to spend about 2 grand so i've been looking at the Powerdyne Supercharger kit for 86-93 mustang (6psi)....Is this a good kit? any suggestions? and what other mods would i have to put on in order to supercharge?

that is a good kit, i am partial to ati but six psi is safe. i would recomend upgrading fuel system and injectors and getting your computer flashed ... you may want to look into a new ignition(msd) and eventually forged internals

Those are all def a good idea but you can take your time with only 6 psi. It should run fine stock with that kit.

Go with ATI ProCharger kits. I've heard bad things about Powerdyne.

powerdyne=crap....they are internally belt driven, dont get one. and since your car is 16 years old, before you slap a supercharger on, you might want to think about all the old parts that might need to be renewed....brake system, ignition system, drivetrain, engine, pretty my everything

Well the one major difference is the intake manifold, it's got a bend in it and that wouldn't meet up with the pipe between that and the back of the supercharger. Other then that I don't know about clearance or anything. Might just be something small.
